"Kyoto Sweets Bunnosuke Chaya" was founded in Higashiyama, Kyoto, by the second-generation Katsura Bunnosuke, a rakugo storyteller active in the late Meiji period. We offer sweets made with many healthy Japanese ingredients. We are particularly particular about our homemade products, and we lovingly prepare everything in-house using carefully selected domestic ingredients, from bean paste and warabi mochi to agar, shiratama (rice flour dumplings), and Uji honey. All of our staff look forward to welcoming you for a relaxing break and a fun conversation.
