December Flowers
The weather is getting colder, signaling the arrival of winter, and the city is starting to have an exciting Christmas and New Year's atmosphere.
Here are some exciting flowers that we recommend for December.
The bright red color of the poinsettia is eye-catching.
As Christmas approaches, you will start to see these flowers in flower shops and theme parks.
You might think the bright red part is the flower, but in fact the flower is the small, lumpy yellow part in the middle!!! The red part is an organ called a "bract" that makes the flower stand out.

Although we often see poinsettias as Christmas decorations, they are actually flowers native to Central and South America, including Mexico, and are actually very sensitive to the cold.
There's a reason why poinsettias are on store shelves during the cold winter.

The bracts are reminiscent of the Star of Bethlehem, and so the plant has long been loved as an essential Christmas plant.
Because they have been loved all over the world for many years as Christmas flowers, they have been bred to have different bract colors and patterns, and even bloom in unusual ways. (Some varieties are even cold-resistant!)
At the Kyobashi store, we have a wide selection of sizes, from compact to larger, and even unusual colors.
Please come and see it in store♪
