As you all know, the peony is often used as a symbol of beauty, as in the saying, "Standing, she is like a peony; sitting, she is like a tree peony; walking, she is like a lily."

Seeing them in full bloom is truly impressive and makes you exclaim, "Wow...!!"

In Japan, it was introduced from China during the Heian period and became popular as a flower for tea ceremonies. Through selective breeding, there are now as many as 700 varieties

The peonies you see in stores have tiny buds the size of a match, but when they open, they become more than twice that size!!

While displaying just one peony is lovely, I also recommend bundling several buds together and eagerly awaiting the colors that will bloom!
